GAYR began with a vision by Prof. Ismail A. Ibrahim to build a global space where young researchers could learn, grow, and lead meaningful change. Joined by co-founder Mandy Elewa and early team member Tasbih Emad, the core team brought together a passion for science, mentorship, and ethical research.

As more like-minded professionals joined—from doctors and pharmacists to public health advocates and media leaders, GAYR became more than a team. It became a diverse, supportive family driven by curiosity and purpose.
